About the role
About Nebius:
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure.
Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI.
Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.
The role
Nebius is looking for a Builder Community Manager to build and activate local developer ecosystems across key regions (North America, APJ and EMEA).
This is a high-ownership, execution-heavy role — you’ll be the face of Nebius in your region, working directly with developers, founders, and partners to grow a strong, engaged builder community.
For this role, we are specifically hiring for the North America region. You will report to the Head of Builder Community and work closely with regional community managers, digital marketing, developer relations, developer advocates, product marketing, and broader ecosystem teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
Local Community Activation
- Build and grow a high-quality local developer community (AI builders, engineers, technical founders)
- Identify key hubs, communities, and influential builders in your region
- Establish Nebius as a trusted, high-signal presence locally
- Be the Local Face of Nebius and Represent Nebius at events, meetups, and in the ecosystem
Events & Programs (Execution-first)
- Plan and execute meetups, workshops, hackathons, and community events
- Partner with local ecosystems (startups, VCs, universities, dev groups)
- Ensure events are builder-first, practical, and hands-on — not just talks
Fellows & Ambassador Programs
- Identify, recruit, and support high-potential builders, creators, and community leaders
- Grow and manage a network of Nebius Fellows and Ambassadors across the region
- Enable Fellows and Ambassadors to run events, create content, and represent Nebius within their communities
- Build meaningful engagement programs that create long-term value for participants
- Help develop scalable frameworks, benefits, and best practices that can be adopted globally
Builder Engagement
- Build direct relationships with top developers and emerging builders
- Engage communities online (Discord, Slack, Telegram, etc.)
- Turn participants into repeat contributors and advocates
Build Repeatable Programs
- Turn one-off events into scalable programs (e.g., ambassador programs, recurring meetups, builder cohorts)
- Develop playbooks that can be reused across regions
- Continuously experiment and iterate on formats
Feedback Loop → Product & GTM
- Bring insights from the community back to product, marketing, and leadership
- Identify trends, needs, and opportunities from developers on the ground
- Help shape how Nebius engages developers globally
We expect you to have:
- 5–7+ years in community, developer marketing, events, or ecosystem roles
- Strong understanding of developer audiences (AI/ML, infra, or adjacent preferred)
- Proven experience running ambassador and/or grassroots community programs
- Highly execution-driven — you can go from idea → event → results quickly
- Strong local network (or ability to build one fast)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable being the face of a brand in your region
- Able to work in a globally distributed team, with flexibility for meetings across US, Europe, and APAC time zones when needed
It will be an added bonus if you have:
- Technical background or strong familiarity with AI / developer tooling
- Experience working with startups or developer ecosystems
Key employee benefits in the US:
- Health insurance: 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and families.
- 401(k) plan: Up to 4% company match with immediate vesting.
- Parental leave: 20 weeks paid for primary caregivers, 12 weeks for secondary caregivers.
