Data Center IT Technician
This role involves hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of high-performance GPU infrastructure and server hardware in AI-scale data centers. Technicians diagnose and resolve complex hardware incidents, manage fiber and network connectivity, and ensure continuous uptime of critical systems supporting large-scale AI model training and inference workloads. They work in shift-based operations within distributed data center teams, collaborating with L3 engineers and infrastructure specialists to optimize system reliability and reduce mean time to repair—directly impacting the performance of AI clusters that power customer applications.

Performing hands-on rack and stack installation of servers, switches, and network equipment

Collaborating with vendors, contractors, and R&D teams to resolve complex technical issues
Performing preventive maintenance activities and turning ad-hoc checks into systematic processes
Handling Return Merchandise Authorizations and managing parts inventory and logistics
Conducting site surveys and documenting network infrastructure design specifications
Performing fiber optic testing including visual fault locators and optical power measurements
Troubleshooting GPU cluster hardware and managing high-performance compute infrastructure
Detecting recurring patterns across multiple sites and driving permanent solutions
Supporting firmware validation and rollout of system updates with risk assessment and rollback planning
Monitoring and optimizing mechanical and electrical system performance in modular data centers
Communicating technical findings clearly and concisely to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Following checklists, procedures, and audit-ready documentation standards meticulously
Participating in on-call rotations and responding to emergency incidents outside normal hours
Managing tickets and incident escalation through support systems and ticketing platforms
Mentoring and training entry-level and junior technicians on data center operations
Building evidence packs and driving escalations with original design manufacturers
