Waymo

Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company and subsidiary of Alphabet. Originally Google's self-driving car project, it became an independent company in 2016. Waymo develops the Waymo Driver — a fully autonomous driving system integrating AI, lidar, radar, and cameras — and operates Waymo One, a commercial robotaxi service running in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Austin. With over 3,700 employees and more than 27 billion dollars raised, Waymo closed a $16B funding round in February 2026 valuing the company at $126B.
