Cohere is a Toronto-based enterprise AI company building large language models optimised for business applications including retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, and agentic workflows. Founded in 2019 by former Google Brain researchers including Aidan Gomez (a co-author of the Transformer paper), Cohere focuses on secure, deployable AI for enterprises across cloud, on-premises, and private environments.
