<p>Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.</p> <p>We are seeking a Test Automation Intern for&nbsp;<strong>Summer 2026</strong> to help implement and test key aspects of the humanoid’s software and compute platform for the summer!</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Implement test plans for humanoid software/firmware on our compute platform</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Develop Python scripts for data management, test automation, and robot calibration</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Contribute to the development of our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Support hardware/software integration efforts in the lab</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing or recently completed a undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field</li> <li>Available for a minimum 10-week internship (1–2 terms preferred)</li> <li>Demonstrated experience with hardware/software projects outside of coursework</li> <li>Fluent with C++ and Python</li> <li>Strong understanding of Linux systems</li> <li>Knowledge of computer architecture, communication buses, and protocols: <ul> <li>Ethernet, EtherCAT, Serial, CAN, USB</li> </ul> </li> <li>Comfortable using lab instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and debugging tools (e.g., Lauterbach)</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Bonus Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong><br></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with the Bazel build system</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience using Docker containers</li> </ul> <p>The US hourly range for this internship position is between $35 - $45/hr.&nbsp;<br><br>The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role.
